A direct vent fireplaces is a gas appliance that circulates it's own air through a double wall vent, much like a gas dryer, and does not require any ventilation from the house. They are available in single sided, see-thru, corner, peninsula and three sided units. Even the venting can be customized to fit any wall in any room and to vent into other rooms. Additionally, the units range from 60,000 up to 480,000 BTU's. So, you can bet you wont need to install a central heating unit. |
