When the EcoSmart™ Fire entered the market it had no direct precedent to follow in terms of compliance, regulation or standards. In saying this, The Fire Company Pty Ltd has been meticulous in their due diligence and research to ensure the delivery of a safe product.
The safety of the EcoSmart™ Fire range has been rigorously tested with the intelligent design of the core burner technique playing a major role in its successful results. Tests focused on CO/CO2 consumption ratios, flame stability, vitiation, wind temperament, ignition safety, heat output, combustion characteristics, fuel consumption and efficiency, as well as operational features.
The EcoSmart™ Fire Collection has achieved the following certification and approvals:
The EcoSmart™ Fire is manufactured by The Fire Company Pty Ltd whose quality management system is certified as being in conformity with ISO 9001:2000.
The EcoSmart™ Fire is the first product of its kind to have its collection so comprehensively UL/ULC Listed.
Specific requirements for models sold with the UL/ULC Listed symbol include:

UL/ULC Listed models include Burner TwoUL - this is the same as Burner Two (our two litre burner) but has the UL/ULC marking on it - this UL/ULC marked burner will only be sold with completed models as the burner itself is not approved as an independent item - this means it can not be sold as a Burner Kit.

UL/ULC Listed models must have the Wind Screen Static fitted at all times.

UL/ULC Listed models must be installed into a fixed secure position using the instructions and fixing supplied with each model.

The Grates can only be installed into an existing masonry fireplace setting.
The EcoSmart™ Fire Collection has achieved Swedish Institute for Technical Approval in Construction (SITAC) approval.
Instructions and specifications for the EcoSmart™ Fire were tested as far as practicable to a selection of clauses from AS4553/AG103 - Australian Standard for Gas Space Heaters (closest comparable product at the time of invention).
EcoSmart™ Fire has achieved TUV approval for part of its collection.
