Antigua with custom clad overmantel

The precast products are simulations of carved stone and as such are neither perfectly symmetrical nor level. They require draft for mold release and such variations should be considered an enhancement of the product’s overall appearance. The product exhibits variations in color and texture from piece to piece or even within the same part. Entrained air holes are intrinsic to the precast process. These variations add to the natural look of simulated stone. As a cementitious product, it is normal and should be expected that some minor cracking/crazing of the product will occur. The potential for efflorescence is inherent in all Portland cements as well as setting and grouting systems and is not considered a manufacturing defect. Please note that the precast elements are decorative and non-structural and therefore are not designed to bear structural loads in any plane.
